I just lost my wedding ring on Monday and thankfully had insurance on it. I had an expensive real diamond ring…but to tell you the truth it was ugly. We are getting our cash back for me to get another one and I have to tell you it kills me to buy another EXPENSIVE ring. My question is I want to talk to a women who have a CZ to ask her if she has ever gotten anyone who has asked her if it was fake or how soon it lost its “luster” and if she had to buy another ring would she go for a fake one again or a real one?

I’m not trying to “trick” people…i CAN afford any ring i want….but i’m smarter than that…it shows the opposite of what you are saying…it shows that I care LESS about the ring and more about my marriage and having a big savings account…
Oh please everyone is giving you a bad rating because your are…dumb. I will have a big bank account and a smile on my face!
So….what? I asked WHICH fake ring looked the best…so sue me?

The ring was scheduled on my homeowners policy and I have replacement cost but to replace with a comparable ring at todays value, it will cost much more! I had the ring scheduled at $2000 and it was close to 1 karat. Also the insurance company has a program whereby they send me discounted diamonds via Fed Ex to look at that they get a cost break on from selected dealers. The insurance company has an agreement with select dealers to send their loss claims to the dealer and in return they give the insurance company a discount on diamonds. The diamonds are all certified.
My main question is if I have replacement cost do I have the right to get my wife a comparable diamond in color, clarity etc. regardless of cost and is the insurance company obligated to pay for it?

Just the other night I looked down and noticed my 1.2 karat diamond was missing out of the setting on my ring. I didn’t have it listed on our home owners. I can’t find the receipt either from when my husband purchased it. Can I claim it? Or is my husband and I just out 5,000?
