Wedding ring glows in black light?
October 22nd, 2008
btk3104 asked:
My wife and I just got married last week. On our amazing honeymoon we were killing time waiting for our reservations at Texas De Brazil. We decided to tone it down after a week at Disney and tried glow in the dark mini golf. During the game we noticed that her wedding ring, a 16 diamond interlocking ring from Kay jewlers had about 2 diamonds that appeared white or glowing in the black lights. Anyone know why or if this means they are fake?

How much did your wedding rings cost?

I’m sorry if this is a sensitive subject. My fiance and I have never bought jewelry before (other than the engagement ring). We want to get 2-tone rings with no diamonds. We have no idea what an average ring costs. We are just beginning to search and don’t really know anything about rings.
Thank you for all of your answers so far. My fiance had the engagement ring custom made using an online company. It turned out great (just too big), but we don’t want to purchase our wedding rings on line. We want to be able to see them in person first.

I think we live in a more expensive area, which is part of the reason I was curious about the average cost of rings. If the rings we’ve been looking at are a lot more than what seems to be the average, it might be worth it to us to look elsewhere.

He got engaged a few months ago and we’re getting married in February. He bought me this beautiful diamond wedding band as my engagement ring, which we picked out together.

So does he buy his own wedding ring?
Am i suppose to buy it for him?
Can give it to him as a christmas gift?
How expensive should it be?
I know he doesn’t want diamonds, he wants a simple band, in a darker metal.
Why do people get so uptight about wedding rings?

My fiance and I just got engaged and we love each other so much. The ring he gave me is beautiful, and I wear it most of the time. My fiance doesn’t really believe in wedding rings and I wanted to have one, just because of tradition and the way i was brought up. So, now I have one, but I don’t feel that if I didn’t have one I would be any less happy that we’re getting married.I do take it off when I’m doing dishes or scrubbing floors or any other dirty project, but some people swear they’ll never take theirs off. It’s a hunk of metal and diamonds for crying out loud. It’s not like if you take the ring off your love will diminish! I posted a question earlier about my fiance hiding it from me and asked how I could get him back for making me freak out (all in good fun, we’re both going to laugh about this later) and all I got for responses was “you probably hurt his feelings” and “let it go before it goes too far.” IT’S JUST A RING! Why do people get so caught up in it?
Not every wedding is the same…just because most people say “with this ring, i thee wed” and they choose to do a ring ceremony, doesn’t mean that every wedding is like that. I’ve been to plenty of weddings where couples decide not to do ring ceremony or say “with this ring, i thee wed”. does that mean “without this ring i don’t wed”? NO!

We aren’t the wealthiest of people but would still like a nice ring set at an affordable price. I don’t know much about diamonds or rings but was hoping someone out there would know if this was a good deal. Thanks.
Can I negotiate price with insurance company regarding lost diamond in my wives wedding ring?
February 5th, 2008
Robert J asked:
The ring was scheduled on my homeowners policy and I have replacement cost but to replace with a comparable ring at todays value, it will cost much more! I had the ring scheduled at $2000 and it was close to 1 karat. Also the insurance company has a program whereby they send me discounted diamonds via Fed Ex to look at that they get a cost break on from selected dealers. The insurance company has an agreement with select dealers to send their loss claims to the dealer and in return they give the insurance company a discount on diamonds. The diamonds are all certified.
My main question is if I have replacement cost do I have the right to get my wife a comparable diamond in color, clarity etc. regardless of cost and is the insurance company obligated to pay for it?
Please help!!!

fourcheeks4 asked:
It’s yellow gold, and It’s a one carat in the middle, and and 12 little diamonds equaling 1/2 carat. I like it to pop, but when I clean it, it just tends to get dirty again. What can I do?
