I have a GORGEOUS 2-piece custom wedding band that comes apart to make an engagement ring. I have the GIA certs on the center diamond. The whole ring is about a carat (however that’s spelled). I have tried Craigslist. It’s a $5000 ring and I’d like AT LEAST $1000 for it so I been posting it for about $1400…don’t really get any takers for it. Okay, this may sound dumb, but I am not sure how all this works as I have never been engaged before and my mom isn’t around to tell me how it really works! My boyfriend recently bought my engagement ring after 3 years. The center diamond is 1ct marquise and directly on the sides it has baguettes and then on the out side that would look like a wedding band but is all put together on both sides are round brilliant cut diamonds which total the engagement ring at 2.50cts. Now my question is this…. do you still get another wedding band? I am sort of confused about how to do this if we will be looking for wedding bands as well, or if what I have is it or is it just personal preference? I mean, how do you put another one or two sides to this already pretty large ring? I am not vain and don’t need anything too big, but since we are doing a really small wedding, we invested more in the jewelry since I will wear it the rest of my life and not something that just lasts one day! No smartass answers would be appreciated it but I just want to know if what I have should be it, or are you suppose to get another one?! Thanks!
