My engagement ring and wedding ring are from two seperate places?

I was wondering if they could still be joined together to make a set? If so, will any jewelry store set them for me? Or will they usually only do their own rings? And, if/when should they be joined? before ceremony or after wedding?? Please help!

They should be joined after you are married. You don’t have to wear them both, but if you would like to, you can get them sauddered together by a jeweler.
Go to an independent jeweler that does repairs and such on the premises. They will be able to best tell you. It will likely cost $50 - $100 depending on the material used. You don’t *have* to get them soldered together but many women prefer it. I had mine soldered after the wedding, but really it’s up to you. I wanted to be able to wear my engagement solitaire right up until I was officially married.
My rings are the same way and the jewelery stores refused to weld them because of some warranty bs. Just check with each store and see what they say. I tried to have mine done after my weddng. You don’t want to be waiting for your rings a few days before the ceremony. Just one less thing to worry about.
2 seperate places absoluty fine you make your set how ever you want it to be and during the ceremony should they be joined
I just got the band to my engagement ring for a different store and they said after the wedding to bring them both in and they will put them together. I think it just depends on the jeweller. Just ask both places where you got them how much they charge and if it is possible.
My engagement ring and wedding ring came from two different places. I had the wedding ring made so it would be a similar style to the engagement ring. Two weeks before the wedding I took both rings to my jeweler and had them soldiered together so when my husband slipped it on my finger at the wedding, it was already together. They did an excellent job of soldering them together, you would think they were a matched set. Good luck, and congrats on your upcoming nuptials.
Any jewelry store should be able to link the rings..
I purchased a couple rings in Arizona and had a jeweler in California soldier them together years later.. The Jeweler did mention that occasionally rings are of different metals and they can’t soldier them together because there isn’t a material that will bind to both… He said that is very rare…
Talk to a local Jeweler they can usually do it for under $50.00.. Mine was $15.00…
Sure, any jewellers will do it. Wait til after the ceremony - you should go in with a bare hand, so just your wedding band can be put on at the ceremony.
However, really think hard if you really want them soldered together. Though my rings look great together, there still are times I just want to wear my wedding ring.
I dont see whay a jewelry store wouldnt do it, but I would think twice about getting it done. i was going to have mine done too, but now am glad I didnt. its been a few years since the wedding and my rings dont fit the smae they used to. I have trouble gettign them on and off sometimes as it is on their own, no bother if they were together. and I have to take them off for school (I’m a hygienist) just as you will have to take them off on occasion for certain things. alot of my friends at school dont ever wear theirs anymore cuz they dont fit their hands. it will be a pain and probably alot of money trying to resize them in the future if they are stuck together. just something to think about!
my husband got my engagement ring from a jeweler and i couldnt find a wedding band to match, so i had one made. they asked if i wanted them soddered, but i said no since i thought i would want to wear the band seperately. but after a few weeks after the wedding, and wearing them together, it got kinda annoying that they were sliding all over the place. so i took them to the custom jeweler that made my ring, and they soddered them together at no cost, and they were so nice about it. so, i would wait until after the ceremony to get them soddered, it only took about an hour or so. good luck and congratulation on your upcoming marriage.
