June 24th, 2010
CrazdSquirel asked:

I want to get something engraved on my fiance’s wedding ring, but I don’t know what to say. I have a few ideas, but I’d like more. Help please?
Here are some of my ideas-

For the serious-

Mon cœur est a vous
Love, honor, and cherish

We love to poke fun so-

You’re stuck with me now!
Nonrefundable
Better than ice cream.

I would say put what is in your heart….or maybe his nickname you have for him. Something along those lines. It’s all about how you feel. Congrats!

    Forever One with “name”.

Forgive me if these are bad.

Something that is special and means something to u and him… Maybe a word that means a lot.. or nicknames that are kinda short to fit in the ring.. anything that’s meaningful to u! Good luck and Best wishes!

There are numerous ways you can express how much you love your betrothed on their wedding band….a “pet” name that you call him or a saying of something that the two of you share. Another idea might be the time he proposed to you or expressed his commitment to you. You might also want to say I love you in another language like the romantic language of love…French. Je’teme (is how I think it is spelled.) Hope this helps out! If you are looking for beautiful, elegant decorations for your wedding, check out. I am sure you will find many beautiful things!
    CONGRATULATIONS to you!

There are many things you could write, and some of these other people have given you some great ideas. I love the “better than ice cream” and the “you’re stuck with me now!”, sounds like something my husband and I would have done! Best wishes to you both.

One of my friends had “you can’t stay mad at me” engraved in her husband’s ring. I thought it was cute.

Ha! I love the second one, thats what I would put on my husbands if we had done this.

I say go for the funny, he wont look at it that often and the occasions that he does it will bring a smile to his face that you are so funny!

I saw a locket I wanted my fiance to get me as a wedding present, and it was engraved with the words: I Forever Do. I just think that’s so cute and sweet.

I love the post that says “Put it Back On” That’s really funny!! :)

Is your fiance getting your ring engraved? If so, you both need to decide if the sentiment inside will be fun or serious. That will give you a better idea of how to go. I liked all your suggestions but you need to at least agree with your fiance on the tone of your engraving.

My husband and I were going to surprise each other with the engraving in each other’s ring and we both ended up saying the same thing!

I ran a fine jewelry store in Orange County for over 9 years. Your ideas are some of the best that I have seen. I like,” Better than ice cream.” or try, ” Do not remove.” Guys always loose their wedding rings. We sold so many replacement rings for men it was easy to up grade the woman’s at that time as well. Some might ask up grade? We may want to upgrade but at least we keep it on our finger. Really… Go with the ice cream line.

I always liked- “Put it back on!!” lol

But I engraved a lyric from our song, it read, “And with this vow, forever has now begun”
