My sister-in-law says its the wedding band first on your finger then the engagement ring. I think its the other way. Which way is it?

You always wear your wedding band closest to your heart, therefore it goes first and then the engagement ring.
Your engagement ring, then the wedding band. The order you got them.
Traditionally, the wedding band is worn closest to the heart. Because of this, most women slide their wedding band on first and then place the engagement ring on top of that. Many bridal sets and matched rings are soldered together, however, making this a moot point and entirely up to personal preference.
The wedding band is supposed to be closest to your heart. So it would be wedding on the inside and then your engagement ring.
You put the wedding band on first, then the engagement ring…..that is what I was told by the pastor who married my ex and I (first marriage)
The wedding band goes on first because 1) you sometimes remove the engagement ring but are technically always are supposed to wear the wedding band and this makes it easier…..the wedding band is the more important of the two thus it’s worn closest to the heart.
SIL is right.
One your wedding day, you don’t wear your engagement ring when your new husband puts the wedding ring on your finger. Then, you put your engagement ring back on afterwards! Hope this clears up the confusion!
i have my wedding band on top of my engagement ring i like to better that way besides i want people to see that i am married . the other way around all they see is the engagement ring. there really is no rule i see people wearing them both ways, depends on you.
Wedding band, then engagement ring
The wedding band is on the inside as it means its closer to the heart. The engagement ring goes on the outside. Hope this helped.
