At an airport - no. My husband has a titanium ring (it’s great, it’s indestructible!). We’ve traveled to Mexico, Canada and within the US and have never had a problem getting through the metal detectors because of his ring.

Same thing with the metal detector at the courthouse - he had jury duty and it didn’t set off the detector on the way in the building.

Metal detector as in an airport or device used to find things on the ground surface? At airports it usually doesn’t cause friction and with a ground device…at times it can be detected but due to the mass of the metal sometimes it goes undetected! Hope you didn’t loose your ring!

No it won’t. It’s because titanium can’t be magnetized. Metal detectors work on the properties of metals, one being whether it can be magnetized. Detectors pick up the energetic fields (which can be magnetized), titanium doesn’t have this.
