Not all cultures use the left hand.

Many people also will wear their weddig rings on their right hand when their spouse passes away.

Maybe his hand is dead like Bob Dole’s……so he puts it on the other hand.

Anyone ever wonder how bad that pen must smell after being in his sweaty hand for the last 35 years?

I wear mine on the right hand because my left knuckle is big and if I wear the ring there it squeezes a nerve and causes half my hand to tingle… if I had a bigger ring it would be too loose. It fits great on the right hand.

My husband wears his ring on his right hand because it doesn’t fit his left ring finger–we have just never gotten around to getting the ring sized. His parents are German so he doesn’t think it’s an issue and neither do I.

Before medical science discovered how the circulatory system functioned, people believed that a vein of blood ran directly from the fourth finger on the left hand to the heart. (This belief allegedly dates to the 3rd century BC in Greece.) Because of the hand-heart connection, people named the putative vein descriptively vena amori, Latin for ‘the vein of love’. Due to this tradition, it became acceptable to wear the wedding ring on this finger. By wearing rings on the fourth finger of their left hands, a married couple symbolically declares their eternal love for each other. This has now become a matter of tradition and etiquette. However a reason to wear it right was that left = sinistra, (left = bad; right = good). so in some counties and also jewish people wear it on right.

    Maybe he’s from another country.

In some countries (Brazil, Canada, Chile, some Commonwealth nations, Croatia, France, India, Iran, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Korea, Mexico, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia,Sari Lenka ,Sweden, Finland, Slovenia, Turkey, UK, and the United States), the wedding ring is worn on the left hand.

In other countries such as Colombia, Germany, Greece, Mexico, Norway, Peru, Poland, Russia, Spain (except in catalonia), Macedonia, Ukraine, Venezuela and Serbia, however, it is worn on the right hand. Orthodox Christians and Eastern Europeans (except for the Romanians) also traditionally wear the wedding band on the right hand.
