We already have wedding rings, but we’re doing a “reaffirmation of our vows” & I want to give new ones?

diamond wedding rings
*Tate* asked:

We got married Dec/2007 at the courthouse cause we were 5 months prego. Well we’re now planning our “ceremony” when we go on our honeymoon cruise this Dec.
I have a platinum anniversary band w/diamonds as my ring & my husband has a plain stainless steel one (he bought both)…

I originally wanted the anniversary band as my engagement ring and just a plain band as my wedding ring.

Is it silly for me to want to buy 2 new rings that we can exchange at our reaffirmation and wear on our right hands or with our other rings…with or without engravings inside..? I wanted to surprise him…

If I do get some new bands…what metal should I get? And does anyone have any suggestions on where I could find some nice, inexpensive ones??

Thank you so much for your help!!! =)

I’d say go for it, as long as it’s within your price range. Make sure it’s something he’d like, or make it sentimental (ie, getting it engraved).

If you’re near a Zales outlet, look there. JC Penney also has some great sales.

Our first set had a little diamond chip in it, I know I got a magnifying glass (ok not that bad)… my 2nd set I got for my 10th anniversary has a beautiful (but small by some people’s standards - it seemed huge 12 years ago) heart shaped diamond. OMG I”ve been married for almost 23 years…. I’m OLD!!!
