Can my Yellow gold engagement & wedding rings be turn into White Gold?

My husband gave me a cheap cz engagement ring when we first got engaged…he was a poor student back then. Well, he then bought me a real .5 ct diamond for that engagement ring and i loved it. I still felt the stone was too small, so we upgraded the ring was mounting the diamond on a ring that had more little diamonods on the sides…but it was a yellow gold ring and the wedding band is also yellow. I’m now more into the white gold and I want to know if its possible to transform/change those yellow gold rings to white gold? does anyone out there know anything? I don’t think it will be possible but if anyone out there knows please reply.

no you can not. sorry. about all you can do is have the stones reset into a white gold wedding set.
yes, it can! we had to specially make my wedding band and it started out as yellow gold and is now white gold! you just have to talk to your jeweler about it, but it can be done.

It’s not possible unless you try some form of surface painting it, or you might have options of color with I believe electroplating them (where the term ‘gold plated steel’ comes from). The color of both types of gold or any metal are unchangeable. Removing a build-up can restore original color but nothing alters it. The color is as deep as the metal itself, and that’s determined by its natural carat. But the second answerer seems sure it can be done.
Im sure you can get it to white gold..Every white gold ring starts out yellow gold and they do the rhodium plating to get it white. My wedding band & engagment ring is white gold and the only thing that sucks is that white gold wears off usually every 6-8 months,so you have to go back each time so they can keep it pretty. The cost is usually $30-40 each ring
