My wedding ring is designed with floating diamonds (I think that’s what they’re called?) and in the last year I have had to take it in to get tightened like 8 times. Now they’re lose again! And I just took it in less than 3 weeks ago. This is really getting to be an inconvenience. I’m thinking about asking if I can trade it for a different style. What do you think my chances are?

My husband gave me a cheap cz engagement ring when we first got engaged…he was a poor student back then. Well, he then bought me a real .5 ct diamond for that engagement ring and i loved it. I still felt the stone was too small, so we upgraded the ring was mounting the diamond on a ring that had more little diamonods on the sides…but it was a yellow gold ring and the wedding band is also yellow. I’m now more into the white gold and I want to know if its possible to transform/change those yellow gold rings to white gold? does anyone out there know anything? I don’t think it will be possible but if anyone out there knows please reply.

A few years ago I got a ‘promise ring’ from my boyfriend, it is very simple with small diamonds in it. I love it, but there are hundreds of rings out there just like it.

We have been discussing marriage and looking at rings lately, and I have come to decide that I dont really want a diamond engagement ring!

We have decided on the ring (mostly), I got to help with some of the major decisions, and now he is tweaking it to make it a special and unique ring. We are having the engagement ring and wedding bands both custom made by a wonderful jeweler. We have chosen a gemstone (tourmaline) that has significant meaning to both of us, and the particular stone we have on hold is beautiful!

I know the ring doesnt make the marriage, nor does the stone. But does anyone else have a non traditional ring? What do people have to say about it? Are you always explaining the ring?

Can someone educate me or give me a good site to look at regarding diamonds? I live in Canada….. want to choose a good diamond for my wedding ring but know nothing abt this
