How long would you be mad at someone if they dropped your diamond ring down the sink?

Ay asked:
My grandmother gave my aunt her wedding ring it was a 10 carat diamond ring it was purchased in the 1930’s and my aunt dropped it down the sink 20 years ago and my grandfather has been mad ever since, he was really pissed after he found out how much it would have been worth now, would you still be mad?

Mad-no
Upset-yes
To be honest, I wouldn’t really care.
I’d be like….. “I’m gonna go to Claire’s to get another ring…!” Even though Claire’s only has fake ones…. lol
take the trap off and get the dang thing out!
As long as it takes them to get it back.
I don’t believe this for a second. Ten carat diamonds are not easy to come by, and in any era they would’ve been worth tearing up your plumbing for.
But, if it’s true, I’d be really pissed that they didn’t fish it out, yeah.
If the centre stone was 10 ct, I would be mad too for a long long time (A 10 ct, just in G color and in VS1 clarity would easily fetch now half a million USD, we better dont meantion the value of a D IF I think …). For that value, you can undo the tubings completely I believe …
