Grab your toothbrush a a non gel toothpaste. Colgate has worked the best for me. Just wet the jewelry and toothbrush with toothpaste on it and scrub the filth away. Rinse under warm water and it should shine nicely.
If you can take it to he jewerly store, then use toothpaste(not gel) the old fashion one and a toothbrush. You can also buy an electric sonic cleaner. You can find them a Wal-Mart, Target, Macy’s, etc…
If the diamonds in your wedding ring start to look cloudy or dull, a good ultrasonic or steam cleaning will return the sparkle and shine in no time at all.
Soak it in vinegar.

Vinegar is good, if that doesn’t work try ketchsup. (really)

I normally soak my diamond ring and pendant in a hot water with toothpaste diluted in it. I’ll soak for at least 15 mins.
Then, I’ll use an old toothbrush to brush and rinse with water.
This give superb sparkling effect. It worked everytime.
