Here’s what I do….I bought a child size toothbrush (the bristles are extra soft) and once a week I scrub it with regular bathroom liquid soap. Then about every 2 months I take it to the jewelry store for a professional cleaning. Works out great and I’ve had mine for over 5 years now.

I’ve never heard that before. You may want to ask a jeweller their recommendations on care. Oh, btw… congrats and wishes for a long and happy future together!!

chlorine bleach is a big no-no….you should really avoid cleaning of any kind while wearing your ring to be on the safe side .

    heres an article about safety..

I would try to keep it away from anything with a bleach or ammonia base. In general though, if you’re cleaning with chemicals, take your ring off, or use gloves.

You should avoid chlorine and bromine which are commonly used in swimming pools, hot tubs, and some laundry products. Those chemicals can break down the gold, especially around the prong setting and that would cause the diamond to fall out. Platinum is stronger and more resistant to the chemicals but why take a chance?

Anything that, if you were to use it, you would wash your hands afterwards. This may not be a specific rule, but why risk doing something bad to your ring? The more you baby your ring, the better it will look in years to come.
