Mall stores are generally overpriced. You should shop around at various jewelry stores in your area, including small local shops. A good store will explain to you the quality of diamonds, and show you a variety of stones to pick from. They also should not put a lot of pressure on you to buy immediately.
I used to be a jeweler and Jared’s had some competition on us. Their prices are very good. 1 ct’s are going for around $5000 now. They also have a life time diamond guarantee, something that the mom and pop shops cannot offer. You should go with them.
My fiance’ bought my setting from M.J. Christiansen and the diamond loose from Jareds. Consider this warning: I was not pleased about the way I got treated by them when I went in with my solitaire loose in the setting. They set the diamond and treated me like I did something to it to loosen it. They even charged me to tighten it…. one week afterward, it was loose again. They are rude and over priced. Trust me. Go somewhere else! If you have a M.J. Christiansen out by you, I would highly recommend them. They are nice, professional and courteous.
Jareds is a fine place to buy. However, you need a high budget..you see the retail diamond Market utilizes something called the Rapapport sheet. Industry standard pricing for a 1 CT reasonable color H (little to no yellow) and Si1-2 meaning clean to the eye factually costs $6500 per carat.
That being said, you have alternatives like real diamonds such as clarity enhanced. You see Diamonds are really hype I sell them and I know it. They are all b.s. just little rocks found in the ground..one day someone figured out if they give them different hype ratings etc., people would compare the tiny rocks and claim they are more valuable.
If you go to Jared and buy a diamond you must ask yourself is it going to make you money? NO its just hype, nobody ever makes money with a diamond. So, here you are stuck on what to buy from Jared or elsewhere. My suggestion leave the hype at the door, buy with your budget the largest you can get and consider a Clarity Enhanced diamond even if you do not buy from me save your money. Good luck FreddyDiamonds
If the diamonds in your wedding ring start to look cloudy or dull, a good ultrasonic or steam cleaning will return the sparkle and shine in no time at all.
Just call Jared’s and ask.
I think Jared’s is over rated. A good diamond from any where is just as good as if it were to come from Jared’s.
depends on the band. If you go platnum you’re looking at $5,000+. If you go with white gold or yellow gold it should be around $2,500+.
Here’s a good site to build your own ring, and learn more about diamonds.
Don’t forget to factor in all the “commercials.” That cost goes
into the diamond. “Someone has to pay for them.” ($_$)
