Can I wear 2 diamond rings on 1 finger if there is overlap a bit or might they damage/scratch etc. the other?

diamond wedding rings

Ok, so I have 2 diamond rings, one wedding band, simple and one engagement ring with a larger heart in the middle. In catalogues you often see these bridal sets placed on top of each other as if on one finger, that is how I want to wear them, stacked, I heard though that this might be bad for the rings as the one that is on top, and overlaps the band will cause scratches etc, and that generally it is no good idea to wear to rings on one finger. Is this true?

they should be fine… iff they are real sterling silver… titanuium would be the best since it never scratches.. they should be fine.. if the diamond on one touches the other tho it will scratch it

that’s the kind of ring i want too!

the ones that intertwine with each other that combine into one ring but when you take them off it’s two.

i only have one ring right now though.. i am a somewhat .. i don’t want to say careless.. but i have a tendency to break and kind of wreck things so i was scared about scratching my ring and the jeweler (and this is after it was purchased and we just went back to have it cleaned and look around and stuff) said that it would be pretty much impossible to scratch the diamond.

but if you’re unsure, just stop by one of their shops and ask them about it :).

Yes, one ring will show more wear and tear over time then the other. It’s caused by the small, imperceptible movements they make during the day as you move your hands.
If you really want to wear them together, then jewelers generally recommend that you have all the rings permanently soldered together. This fuses the bands together, and generally eliminates the movement that causes the wear and scratches.
A basic solder job is relatively inexpensive, and can usually be undone if you want to seperate them later. If you want to really make it a permanent change, then I would recommend having a half-shank done - this makes the bottoms of the rings into one solid piece - essentially makes them into one ring.
